Thanks to Mercedes Accessories GmbH, the car manufacturer will soon offer an illuminated central star for many of its current models. The bright star in the grille is available for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and ML, among others, as long as the vehicle is not equipped with equipment codes 233 or 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS or DISTRONIC PLUS and BAS PRO). Let the illuminated star guide you to your Mercedes. The exciting visual effect is now also available for side doors for the first time. A vehicle with decent equipment now has DISTRONIC PLUS anyway – then the consideration of the illuminated star, which you can`t see from the inside anyway, is omitted. My God, what is getting excited again… Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want it or not. In the case of trucks, the bright star with the MP3 was introduced into the Actros because drivers wanted more brand identity. I think it`s a great gag, but it costs. When it comes to retrofit solutions from third-party vendors, it`s safe to say that they offer cheaper because they don`t have to provide proof of safety in the event of a collision. I don`t know if I want my car to have dissipated the energy of a possible accident and then be killed by a cheap terminal holder.
I prefer to go to the specialist dealer and pay a little more. And cheap is not suitable for Mercedes-Benz, but rather for Opel and consortiums. I would like to install the illuminated Mercedes star on my 2012 C coupe and plug it in so that it works in conjunction with the headlights and not with the door opening. I`ve already found a lot of people via Google who have done this, this shouldn`t be the problem. The question is how much it will cost if the police arrest me.
Of course, this is not legally correct. I can`t imagine an illuminated Mercedes star looking elegant and elegant, quite the contrary.
