Mercedes Stern Beleuchtet Legal

Mercedes owners can now accentuate the brand name of their Benz even more. Thanks to Mercedes Accessories GmbH, the car manufacturer will soon offer an illuminated central star for many of its current models. The bright star in the grille is available for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and ML, among others, as long as the vehicle is not equipped with equipment codes 233 or 239 (DISTRONIC PLUS or DISTRONIC PLUS and BAS PRO). Let the illuminated star guide you to your Mercedes. The exciting visual effect is now also available for side doors for the first time. A vehicle with decent equipment now has DISTRONIC PLUS anyway – then the consideration of the illuminated star, which you can`t see from the inside anyway, is omitted. My God, what is getting excited again… Everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want it or not. In the case of trucks, the bright star with the MP3 was introduced into the Actros because drivers wanted more brand identity. I think it`s a great gag, but it costs. When it comes to retrofit solutions from third-party vendors, it`s safe to say that they offer cheaper because they don`t have to provide proof of safety in the event of a collision. I don`t know if I want my car to have dissipated the energy of a possible accident and then be killed by a cheap terminal holder.

I prefer to go to the specialist dealer and pay a little more. And cheap is not suitable for Mercedes-Benz, but rather for Opel and consortiums. But the colleague « mehrzehdes » will tear it up, as always. Is this really a deliberate spelling mistake with background (I suspect something like that)? But for « more », you also pay more… Got it? As far as I know, the illuminated star is also offered for the CLS and C-Class as well as the E-Coupé/Cabriolet. For assembly, plan about 200 €, depending on the vehicle / effort. With a light guide in LED technology, the outline of the star is illuminated in white. This ensures a striking effect, especially in the dark. However, the star can only light up when the vehicle is stationary. The star, listed as an « illuminated star » in the accessory catalog, lights up whenever the vehicle is unlocked or the engine is shut down again after a start. If a door or trunk shutter is opened, lighting lasts up to five minutes.

If at least one door or trunk lid is opened and closed, the lighting time is reduced to 15 seconds. under the doors that throw the Mercedestern next to the doors on the ground when the vehicle opens and closes? I think it`s great! First BMW then Audi started years ago with the bling headlight and obviously it came and is well received. I find that an illuminated star is only coherent and also appropriate. But it would be really nice if the star also shone while driving! Now let`s move on to the question: is it still « legal » to drive with her? Could I be prosecuted if the police arrested me? After a detailed consultation and a lot of information, I decided to order the illuminated Mercedes star. It shines now and gives me a lot of joy! Original Mercedes-Benz star illuminated by LED technology. This distance from the market reminds me of other shelf heaters in the range of accessories: the Rear-Entertainment System. Autonomous, neither creatively integrated nor colorful, but priceless. An iPad integration would be the best replacement. But what happened? An iPad stand for – 329€. Well, it has electricity. However, the iPad does not need it with a battery life of 10 hours, especially since several 12V sockets would be available in case of emergency.

In any case, this again prevents simple self-assembly. The workshop assembles for 200 € and has to drill the seat cover (!). 500 € for an iPad holder, which is more expensive than the iPad itself and as a bonus a destroyed seat cover. Xmount or Vogels offer visually and technically attractive solutions in the double-digit euro range, which can be dismantled quickly and without residue. In order to integrate the iPad into the network, Mercedes recommends the Incar Hotspot for a four-figure amount. An equally appropriate solution on the open market costs a tenth. I would like to install the illuminated Mercedes star on my 2012 C coupe and plug it in so that it works in conjunction with the headlights and not with the door opening. I`ve already found a lot of people via Google who have done this, this shouldn`t be the problem. The question is how much it will cost if the police arrest me.

Of course, this is not legally correct. I can`t imagine an illuminated Mercedes star looking elegant and elegant, quite the contrary.
